Núñez de Prado - Ecological Olive Oil Factory
There are more than a dozen olive oil mills in Baena, a municipality with about 21,000 inhabitants and an olive oil denomination of origin (D.O.) of the same name. But this mill is arguably the most emblematic and is visited by about 20,000 tourists a year, many of whom stay for an olive oil tasting or typical miller’s lunch. The Núñez de Prado oil mill, located in a traditional Andalusian farmhouse, includes a wine cellar with 18th century jars and a complete classic oil mill dating back to 1943. Tourists can also visit the olive groves, take part in oil tasting sessions or enjoy typical "Molinero" breakfasts and lunches in the magnificently decorated rooms that occupy old farmhouses. We are in a sanctuary of olive oil culture.
